HOOPLE – Crews are on the scene of a structure fire in rural Walsh County.
Crews were called at 12:14 p.m. to a structure fire at a warehouse in the City of Hoople.
As of 3:09 p.m., a Walsh County Sheriff’s Office deputy on scene said the south wall of the warehouse was engulfed in flames.
Hoople Fire Chief Aaron Larman said the fire has been contained to the interior of the building. The fire attack was placed on hold until electricity and propane gas were removed from the building. Nodak Electric Company was notified and responded to cut power to the building, and the propane gas was removed by a private party, Larman said.
Crews from Hoople, Park River, Edinburg and Crystal fire departments responded to the call. Additionally, Park River Ambulance and the Walsh County Paramedic were dispatched.
The Walsh County Sheriff’s Office is on scene providing scene safety and security.
